I created Willa at the Window entirely from cut and collaged fabric, stitched together and enhanced through free-motion machine quilting. Willa’s small, inward posture anchors the piece, allowing the gaze to wander toward the expansive landscape beyond. I sought to capture the contrast between her contained presence, held gently in shadow, and the unrestrained luminosity of light pouring through the windows.
