  • Vintage Puggetbook is a hand-built teapot made of porcelain clay. It consists of a purse in a Prada design with two sculpted Pug heads emerging from either side.
  • It represents a modification of an earlier version, Two Pugs in a Prada. The changes include a handle that was altered to offer more gesture and flow. Further, more cold finishes, such as Baroque gilding and gold leaf, were added to provide a more antique look.
  • The teapot's lid is a dog bone made of press mold. Press mold was also used for the faux fabric exterior.
  • Construction sequence:     Fired to cone 06. Pug facial features and fabric underglazed. Matte gold faux leather for pocket flaps. Refired to cone 5.     Faux metal parts painted with matte gold luster. Third firing to cone 018. Cold finished in overglazes, acrylics, enamel paints     and colored pencils.
