  • Made of porcelain clay cone  9/10, this piece was part of a series of vases.
  • It was wheel thrown in two parts. The component top and bottom sections were assembled to form the vase, united by score and slip technique. Then the lower cylinder was altered by paddling the sides.
  • Construction sequence: Fired initially to cone 06. Turquoise glaze applied. Refired to cone 9/10 in a soda kiln. Gold leaf added as a cold finish.
  • Size: 13.0" x 7.5".
  • Date: 2002.
