A clay work in the form of a basket with handle and pockets.

  • This stoneware clay piece is based on the prototype Pocketed Basketbook, but with a number of modifications to advance it from the artistic and constructional perspectives.
  • Principal among these was altering the way the work presented itself so that it was more upright and imposing. Fired yet again to cone 018. China paints overglaze applied. Final firing done in regular oven. Cold finished with applications of acrylic paints and colored pencil, plus a clear protective glaze.
