LOX AND CREAM TEAS, A CERAMIC TEAPOT

Lox and Cream Teas is a ceramic teapot created in the form of a cream cheese package with bagels serving as handle and base.

  • This hand-built stoneware teapot is intended as a vessel with a Pop Art feel. It is designed especially for consideration at the Potters Council Juried Exhibition called FILL-adelphia, to be held at A Show of Hands Gallery, Philadelphia, PA in 2010.

  • Bagel forms are made from slip cast mold of real bagels. They are used for the base and the handle of the teapot. The lox and cream cheese are additional sculpted elements inserted into the base bagel.
  • Exhibited at the Saco Museum, Saco, ME.
  • Construction sequence:
  • Size: 8.0" x 9.25" x 4.25".
  • Date: 2009.
  • Sold to a South African collector.
